Details: The X-Chock starts off where the Deluxe Tire Locking Chock left off, but it's new, slimmer design will fit into more axle applications. Fits between tandem tires, it locks wheels by applying force to both tires. Aids in trailer stabilizing and prevents tire shifts. A hand operated plated ratchet wrench (Model 841025, included) turns a drive nut, extending the chocks against the tires for locking and retracting the chucks for removal.

Why we like this product
We haven’t personally used the BAL X-Chock, but after reviewing specs, owner feedback, and long-term campground discussions, it stands out as one of the more purpose-built stabilizers for tandem-axle trailers.
Here’s what consistently shows up in our research:
-
Reduces Fore-and-Aft Movement
Unlike basic wedge chocks, it expands between tandem tires, applying outward pressure that limits the forward and backward rocking many RV owners complain about.
-
Well-Regarded by Fifth Wheel Owners
Reviews frequently mention a noticeably more stable feel inside the trailer, especially in longer rigs where movement tends to be amplified.
-
Heavy-Duty Construction
Built from steel with a threaded expansion system, it appears more durable than lightweight rubber or plastic chocks.
Research takeaway: It’s not just a roll-prevention device. It’s designed specifically to improve campsite stability for tandem-axle RVs.
